The Superintendency of Banks of Panama, acting as home supervisor, convened the fifth supervisory college for the BiCapital Corporation Group on 7–8 August 2025, bringing together host supervisors to coordinate cross-border oversight and review the group’s risk management. The agenda focused on strengthening supervisory coordination, facilitating technical exchanges, and deepening supervisors’ understanding of the conglomerate’s risk management. Discussions aimed to develop a holistic view of the group’s corporate governance model, including an assessment of the effectiveness of control mechanisms applied by the holding company to its subsidiaries, alongside an open forum for additional topics of supervisory interest. Delegations participated from the Superintendency of Banks of Guatemala, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance of Honduras, the Superintendency of the Financial System of El Salvador, and the technical team of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama.
