The National Bank of Slovakia’s Bank Board approved a report on the implementation of investment policy for the NBS investment reserves in 2024 and cleared the notification for issuing a set of three silver collector euro coins. The coins, issued under the title “Fauna and flora in Slovakia”, will depict the grey wolf, the Eurasian lynx and the brown bear. Each coin will have a denomination of EUR 3.33, .999 purity, a weight of 31.3 g and a diameter of 40 mm, with designs by Josef Oplištil (grey wolf), Tomáš Lamac (brown bear and the obverse for the Eurasian lynx) and Roman Lugár (reverse for the Eurasian lynx), and production by the Pressburg Mint. The set is due to go on sale in April 2025.
