The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) participated in the second camp for leaders of BRICS+ Youth Clubs, hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at a youth centre in Ismailia Governorate, to support financial literacy among young people and introduce them to non-banking financial activities. The event included 45 young participants from several governorates. During a session titled “Financial institutions of the BRICS countries”, FRA representatives outlined the authority’s supervisory and regulatory role across non-banking financial activities, including the capital market, insurance, mortgage finance, financing for small, medium and micro enterprises, financial leasing, consumer finance, and factoring. The discussion also covered the role and purpose of BRICS financial institutions, the importance of financial cooperation among BRICS members, and related challenges and opportunities for emerging economies, including Egypt’s perspective.
