Madagascar's Banking and Financial Supervision Commission has signed a memorandum of understanding with Morocco's Insurance and Social Welfare Supervisory Authority to formalize cooperation on the supervision of insurance and reinsurance activities. The agreement, signed in Madagascar on Jan. 27, sets a framework for how the two authorities will work together in this area. The arrangement is intended to strengthen institutional dialogue, support the exchange of expertise and promote convergence in supervisory practices between the two authorities. In the Madagascar context, the Banking and Financial Supervision Commission is the authority responsible for the regulation, control and supervision of banking, financial and related institutions, including insurance.
