The proposals would increase certain fees for capital markets businesses, including contracts for differences firms, and replace the 2024 fee rules from Jan. 1, 2027. The draft sets application, registration and annual renewal fees for regulated firms, individuals and market infrastructure, alongside filing and administrative charges. A contracts for differences firm would pay application fees of BSD 20,000 and registration and annual renewal fees of BSD 75,000 each, as well as a quarterly activity fee unless exempted or granted a reduction. Such firms would not also pay the equivalent fees for dealing, arranging, managing or advising activities. Annual renewal fees would be due by Jan. 31 and prorated in the first year of registration.
