The Angola Capital Markets Commission (CMC), in partnership with the Catholic University of Angola (UCAN), held a workshop on “Finfluencers in the Capital Market: Duties and Advantages” aimed at engaging financial influencers and setting expectations for how capital markets-related content is communicated. The session recognised finfluencers’ growing role in disseminating financial information while highlighting the risks to investors from unregulated content. Discussions focused on responsibilities around transparency and investor protection, and the CMC noted that finfluencers can support financial education when aligned with good practices, including by encouraging saving and improving financial literacy.
