The Central Bank of Barbados has announced that the suspension of Zeemoney Barbados Limited, which ran from May 5, 2026 to June 4, 2026, has concluded. Following the end of that suspension, Zeemoney has decided to wind up its operations in Barbados in accordance with section 53 of the Financial Institutions Act. The Bank said the suspension had been imposed under section 50(1)(c) of the Financial Institutions Act to address specific matters requiring the institution's attention. It will work with the licensee to ensure the wind-up is carried out in an orderly manner.

The Central Bank of Barbados announced that the suspension of Zeemoney Barbados Limited, in effect from 5 May to 4 June 2026 under section 50(1)(c) of the Financial Institutions Act, has ended. Zeemoney has opted to wind up its Barbados operations under section 53 of the Act, and the Bank will work with the licensee to ensure an orderly wind-up.
