The European Central Bank will co-host the free Europa Open Air concert with broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk at Frankfurt’s Weseler Werft on Aug. 20, 2026. The event will feature the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and international guest artists under the theme “celebrating Europe.” An ECB information stand will display ten shortlisted designs for future euro banknotes based on the themes “European culture” and “Rivers and birds.” Visitors will be able to discuss the proposals with ECB experts and participate in the ECB’s public survey.
