The Central Bank of the Philippines (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, BSP) launched The Governors Speak, a book series compiling select speeches by Philippine central bank governors to document the evolution of central banking in the Philippines. In his message at the launch, BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. emphasised the role of clear, credible, and timely communication in central banking. The series is organised into three volumes, spanning early governance and pioneering efforts (speeches of the seven governors of the former Central Bank of the Philippines), transformative leadership from 1993 to 2017 (speeches of the first four BSP governors), and current initiatives from 2017 onwards (speeches of BSP governors from 2017 to present). The launch at the BSP head office in Manila formed part of the BSP’s 32nd anniversary celebrations and was attended by former Governors Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., Amando M. Tetangco, Jr., and Benjamin E. Diokno; the series is available in digital format on the BSP website.
