The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan published the results of September–October monitoring of commercial banks’ official websites for compliance with legal requirements on consumer information disclosure. The review identified shortcomings and violations, leading the Central Bank to fine each bank that committed violations UZS 102 million and instruct them to remedy the deficiencies and bring website disclosures into full compliance. Issues included failures to provide information in the state language, contrary to the Law on the State Language of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and failures to publish the required procedure for the gradual release of collateral property accepted as credit security in proportion to the remaining principal debt. The collateral-release disclosure gap was identified on the websites of Agrobank, Anor bank, Hayot bank, Universal bank, Garant bank, Asakabank, Turonbank, Infinbank, Mikrokreditbank, Trastbank, Madad Invest bank, Soderot bank, Orient Finans bank, Ipoteka-bank, Tenge bank, Ziraat Bank Uzbekistan, AVO bank and Open bank.
