The National Bank of Ukraine published an update on its special fundraising account for the defence forces, opened on 24 February 2022, covering the latest balance, recent inflows, and cumulative allocations to Ukraine’s defence and security institutions. As of 1 June 2025, the account balance stood at over UAH 1.6 billion and it received almost UAH 151.2 million in May 2025. Since Russia launched the full-scale war, over UAH 66.4 billion has been contributed, including foreign-currency remittances equivalent to almost UAH 45.3 billion. Cumulative disbursements were almost UAH 65 billion, with the largest allocations to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (over UAH 32.913 billion), the Defence Procurement Agency (over UAH 16.451 billion), and the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (over UAH 8.407 billion), alongside funding for the National Guard, National Police, State Border Guard Service, and other security, emergency, and military bodies. The National Bank of Ukraine updates information on the special account daily on its website and accepts donations by bank transfer or payment card.
