The Montenegro Capital Market Authority issued a public warning about false information circulating on social media, particularly Instagram, promoting the NetherexPro platform through a fabricated interview with the Minister of Economic Development, Niko Đeljošaj. The posts claim citizens can receive payments of up to EUR 2,500 per month after investing EUR 250 in what is presented as a state-backed passive income project. The authority clarified that the Ministry of Economic Development, the Government of Montenegro and other competent state institutions have no cooperation with NetherexPro or any similar investment platform, and that the claims are false. It urged the public not to share personal or financial data with unverified entities, to avoid investing in unverified and unregulated platforms, to rely on official government and ministry websites before making financial decisions, and to report offers promising guaranteed high returns to the competent institutions.
