The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held a workshop for commercial banks on digital asset security, compliance and supervision on Sept. 9. Organized with blockchain security company CertiK under an existing memorandum of understanding, the session addressed international practices for regulating, licensing and supervising virtual assets. The workshop covered digital asset and infrastructure security, transaction and risk monitoring, anti-money laundering and know your transaction compliance, and protections for smart contracts. It also examined custody arrangements, key infrastructure and monitoring systems for financial institutions.
