The European Payments Council announced that, from 22 May 2025, Serbia is officially part of the geographical scope of the Single Euro Payments Area payment schemes, following steps by the National Bank of Serbia to align its payment systems and regulations with European Union standards.

The European Payments Council confirmed that Serbia has joined the geographical scope of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment schemes as of 22 May 2025. This follows the National Bank of Serbia's efforts to align its payment systems and regulations with European Union standards.
