The Central Bank of Nepal submitted its annual report for financial year 2079/80 to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, covering the macro-financial environment, the bank’s operations and its audited financial results. Net profit before adjustments for foreign exchange and other asset revaluation gains or losses increased 11% from the prior year to NPR 10.41 billion, while assets and liabilities were reported to have risen 23% to NPR 1.86 trillion as of end-Ashar 2080. A Board decision dated 2080 Kartik 21 allocated amounts to the bank’s funds and made the remaining NPR 12 billion available to the Government of Nepal. The annual report is presented in three sections and references statutory reporting obligations under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, including requirements to report on the balance sheet, income and expenditure, audit, operations, and the economic and financial condition within four months of the end of the financial year.
