At the opening of Rankia Institutional Experience 2025, Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva reviewed the regulator’s recent agenda for the Argentine capital markets, pointing to ongoing rulemaking aimed at market “normalisation” and stronger transparency. Key points included CNV implementation of Law No. 27.739, which amended Law No. 25.246 on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and proliferation financing, specifically regarding the registration, supervision and regulation of virtual asset service providers. The CNV has also expanded and improved its “idóneos” examinations on a federal basis by opening new locations and increasing capacity nationwide, and highlighted the launch of an audiovisual financial education series under the CNV’s broader financial education programme.
