IVASS noted that VISENTA FÖRSÄKRINGSAKTIEBOLAG is a Swedish insurer supervised by Sweden’s Finansinspektionen and authorised to operate in Italy under freedom to provide services in several non-life lines, including class 15 (surety). The insurer stated it operates in Italy exclusively as a captive for the Outokumpu group and does not offer policies to third parties; “VISENTA INSURANCE COMPANY LTD” is the English rendering of its name in the Swedish company register; it has no website or domain, meaning the site visenta-insurance.com is not connected to it; and multiple certified email addresses circulating in the market are also not attributable to the company. IVASS also relayed that the Swedish supervisor flagged an additional email address not attributable to the insurer, and urged consumers to verify offers against IVASS’s online lists of authorised insurers and intermediaries, including specific checks for the surety line and its warnings database.
