The Jordan Securities Commission signed a memorandum of understanding with Princess Sumaya University for Technology to expand cooperation between the regulator and the academic sector, with a focus on strengthening financial supervision and supporting innovation in capital markets through digital transformation. The agreement, the second between the two institutions, provides for regular training lectures for students in market-related fields, a dedicated programme enabling students to present and develop new finance and financial technology ideas, and technical and professional collaboration between specialists from both sides. Planned work includes developing high-level designs for advanced supervisory systems, enhancing monitoring of trading on foreign stock exchanges, and creating specialised supervisory tools for virtual assets to improve oversight efficiency and analytical and decision-making capabilities.
