The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that Deputy Chairman A.A. Kozubekov participated in the International Monetary Fund Swiss voting group meeting in Tashkent on June 29-30, 2026. The meeting focused on cooperation within the group, with particular attention to how current global challenges are affecting member economies and to the economic policy and monetary policy responses central banks are pursuing amid volatility in global markets. On the sidelines of the meeting, representatives of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic met Swiss counterparts led by Swiss National Bank Chairman Martin Schlegel. The talks covered areas for further bilateral cooperation, including institutional development. The Kyrgyz Republic has been a member of the International Monetary Fund since 1992 and has belonged to the Swiss voting group since 1993.
