The National Bank of Georgia hosted a delegation from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan for collaborative meetings focused on the practical implementation of monetary policy and the preparation of the balance of payments. The programme included technical sessions led by experts from the National Bank of Georgia’s Macroeconomics and Statistics Department. The visit follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March that sets a framework for bilateral cooperation spanning financial sector regulation and supervision, financial technologies, monetary policy, payment systems, and securities markets, including mechanisms for information exchange and sharing expertise.
