The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that a Tajikistan delegation led by Deputy Chairman Sirojiddin Ikromi is participating in a World Bank Academy high-level leaders training programme in Istanbul on financing and insuring climate- and natural disaster-related risks. In the programme’s second panel, Ikromi addressed Tajikistan’s climate and natural disaster risk profile, national achievements, and the country’s priorities and objectives for disaster risk reduction, and presented measures taken by the Government of Tajikistan. The programme runs from 7 to 11 April and includes representatives from 15 countries exchanging views on modern financial mechanisms, particularly Disaster Risk Financing (DRF).
