The Republic of Serbia Securities Commission held a workshop on 11 March 2026 to prepare several rulebooks under the Capital Market Law, initiating drafting work linked to Serbia’s planned further alignment of domestic financial services legislation with European Union law. Led by appointed project expert Pierre Matek and supported by the PLAC IV project, the workshop focused on aligning the forthcoming rulebooks with relevant EU regulations within the Chapter 9 financial services area. Commission management and professional staff attended alongside project representatives and the Ministry of Finance. The drafting is intended to result in several rulebooks to be adopted by the Commission.
