Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced that Kyriakos Pierrakakis, as President of the Eurogroup and Greece’s Minister of National Economy and Finance, will travel to Frankfurt for meetings with the leadership of the European Central Bank, the Deutsche Bundesbank and Deutsche Börse. Discussions are set to cover monetary policy, the digital economy including the digital euro, the Savings and Investment Union, the state of the European and international economy, and the international role of the single currency. The programme includes a working meeting at the ECB with ECB President Christine Lagarde, a working lunch with Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel on the economic and monetary situation in Germany and the Eurozone and on European economic governance, and a meeting with Deutsche Börse Chief Executive Officer Stephan Leithner focused on investment and digital economy issues and on deepening European financial markets.
