The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy convened the fifth Investopia dialogue in India, bringing together more than 500 government and business representatives in Ahmedabad to explore bilateral investment opportunities and strengthen private-sector cooperation. Seven sessions covered economic corridors, financial services, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, food security and tourism. Discussions included closer links between UAE and Indian financial centers, regulatory frameworks and markets to support cross-border capital flows, as well as investment in digital infrastructure and strategic projects. On the event’s sidelines, the economy minister and Gujarat’s chief minister discussed cooperation in priority sectors and support for the UAE-India economic corridor. Lulu Group also announced an AED 1.53 billion development in Ahmedabad expected to create more than 15,000 jobs. The number of Indian companies operating in the UAE reached 290,222 at the end of the first half of 2026, up 16.7% from a year earlier.
