The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a reception in Sarajevo after receiving the international Central Banking Financial Stability Initiative Award 2026 for its work in financial stability. The award, presented to Governor Jasmina Selimović at the Central Banking Awards ceremony in London, recognizes institutions whose reforms, innovations and strategic initiatives have strengthened financial stability, financial system resilience and public trust. At the reception, the bank linked the recognition to its work on strengthening the resilience of Bosnia and Herzegovina's financial system, modernizing the regulatory framework, developing modern payment systems and supporting the country's process of joining the Single Euro Payments Area. The event also underscored that these results were presented as the product of coordination across the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Banking Agency, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, other competent institutions, the financial sector and international partners.
