The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) published an update on its 2024 licensing and authorisation activity, reporting a 31% rise in authorised firms during the year. It authorised 135 new entities, taking the total number of regulated entities in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to more than 900. Further authorisation activity included approvals for 946 individuals and the registration of 17 Designated Non-Financial Business or Professional (DNFBP) corporate services providers, including accountancy firms, legal practices, and compliance consultancies. The DFSA also reported increased market engagement activity in 2024 through 23 outreach sessions and four roundtables.
