Nepal Rastra Bank published a news release confirming that newly appointed Deputy Governor Neelam Dhungana took the oath of office and secrecy at Baluwatar before Governor Dr. Bishwanath Paudel and assumed office. The appointment follows a decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) dated 2082 Chaitra 25. The central bank also outlined Dhungana’s progression within the institution from Assistant Director (appointed 2074 Magh 4) to Deputy Director (2078), Director (2080) and Executive Director (promoted 2081 Falgun 1), including leadership roles in the Payment Systems Department and the Foreign Exchange Management Department and responsibilities as the bank’s spokesperson.
