The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published its December 2025 central bank balance sheet and reserve asset statistics, showing lower total assets and international reserves versus the previous month. Total assets stood at EUR 1.73 billion at end-December 2025, down EUR 342.65 million from end-November, which the central bank attributed mainly to lower deposits from the Government of Kosovo (Treasury account), commercial banks and pension funds. Investments abroad in deposits and securities totalled about EUR 1.22 billion on 31 December 2025, down EUR 379.86 million month on month, with investments in deposits falling by EUR 397.86 million while investments in securities rose by EUR 18.10 million. Deposits at the central bank were EUR 1.44 billion, down EUR 343.93 million, and central bank capital was EUR 129.17 million. International reserve assets were EUR 1.29 billion, down EUR 346.87 million, driven mainly by a EUR 346.12 million fall in cash and deposits, while securities investments decreased by EUR 1.96 million.
