The Angola Capital Markets Commission (CMC) participated in the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) 50th Annual Meeting, held 11–15 May in Doha, Qatar, taking part in technical sessions and IOSCO working groups alongside securities regulators and other financial market stakeholders. The delegation included Board Chairman Elmer Serrão, Executive Director Vasco Januário and Cooperation Office Director Zénea Leitão. Engagement covered IOSCO committees including the Africa/Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC), Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC), Committee on Retail Investors (C8), the Presidents Committee, and the Enforcement and Information Exchange Committee in the context of IOSCO’s Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU). The CMC also joined panel discussions with a focus on financial inclusion and attended the Bloomberg Breakfast session, and noted its ordinary IOSCO membership since 2017.
