The Kenya Capital Markets Authority has granted Intermediary Service Platform Provider licenses to two fintech firms under Regulation 76 of the Capital Markets Collective Investment Schemes Regulations 2023. Moneto Ventures operates the Chumz mobile application, a savings and investments platform that aggregates retail investors and links them to collective investment schemes. The platform had previously been tested in the Authority’s regulatory sandbox and exited in August 2022.
