The National Bank of Georgia has begun publicly disclosing data on green loans aligned with its Sustainable Finance Taxonomy through a new Green Loan Dashboard. The dashboard presents Taxonomy-aligned green loans by sector, their evolution over time, and the overall structure of the green loan portfolio, based on data collected via the Green Loan Monthly Reporting Form and aligned with the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Regulation. The taxonomy was published in 2022, and since January 2023 banks have been required to apply a unified definition of green loans and submit monthly reports to the National Bank; the dashboard will be updated monthly as part of the Sustainable Finance Roadmap implementation.
