The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) released a second tranche of sector guidance to support companies’ assessment, management and disclosure of nature-related issues, publishing final guidance for apparel, textiles & footwear, beverages, construction materials, and engineering, construction & real estate. Following draft guidance issued in June 2024 and subsequent market feedback, the release brings the total number of sectors with TNFD guidance to 13. Draft guidance was also issued for consultation for fishing, marine transportation & cruise lines, and water utilities & services, with feedback open until 4 April 2025 and final guidance planned for June 2025. TNFD said final and draft sector guidance now covers 50% of the Sustainable Industry Classification System (SICS) industries, and noted that the sector guidance is designed to complement its September 2023 core recommendations and LEAP assessment approach, including recommended sector-specific disclosure metrics.

Draft guidance for fishing, marine transportation & cruise lines, and water utilities & services was issued for consultation. TNFD's guidance now covers 50% of the Sustainable Industry Classification System industries and complements its core recommendations and LEAP assessment approach.
