The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has extended the deadline for insurance companies to submit their periodic financial statements for the financial period ended 30 June 2025, setting a new final date of 31 October 2025 instead of 15 September 2025. The decision also gives companies whose investments include one or more insurance companies an additional 15 days beyond the applicable filing deadline. Under the measure, insurers must provide their statutory auditor with financial statements approved by the board for review before 21 September 2025 and notify the FRA accordingly. The FRA framed the extension as a facilitative step to give firms more time to prepare financial statements in line with rules issued under the Unified Insurance Law No. 155 of 2024.
