The Central Bank of Chile has introduced a new “Open Market Operations” chapter in its Statistical Database from 14 November, consolidating information that was previously available across multiple sections to streamline user access. The chapter brings together data on the tools and operations used to manage liquidity and support financial stability, including interbank market transactions, debt instruments issued by the Central Bank and the Treasury, foreign exchange purchase and sale operations, standing facilities, and exceptional liquidity measures. It also adds statistics on reserve requirements, financial system liquidity, interest rates, conjuncture indices, and the operation of the Real-Time Gross Settlement system (LBTR). The reorganisation was led by the Department of Monetary and Financial Statistics within the Statistics and Data Division.
