Bahrain's Ministry of Finance and National Economy said Financial Affairs Undersecretary Yusuf Abdullah Al Hammoud led the country's delegation to the 2026 annual joint meetings of Arab financial institutions, held virtually with the United Arab Emirates as host. The meetings brought together Arab states and regional financial and economic bodies to review institutional programmes, annual reports and financial statements, and to discuss support for economic and social development, stronger Arab financial and investment cooperation, and regional and international economic developments. The sessions included meetings of the boards of governors or equivalent governing bodies of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Arab Monetary Fund, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, as well as the shareholders' council of the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation and the supervisory board of the Bader Fund for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
