The European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs will discuss amendments to the Market Integration and Supervision Package on Sept. 10, 2026. The package is a central component of the savings and investments union strategy and covers financial market supervision, asset management, trading, settlement finality and financial collateral arrangements. Members have tabled 1,463 amendments to a Master Regulation affecting 14 acts on financial market supervision and 647 amendments to a Master Directive affecting three acts on asset management and trading. A further 142 amendments concern a regulation that would repeal the Settlement Finality Directive and amend the Financial Collateral Arrangements Directive.
