North Macedonia’s Ministry of Finance announced that Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kocoska will be in Washington, D.C. from 14 to 18 April 2026 to participate in the IMF–World Bank Spring Meetings and to hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior IMF and World Bank officials, the U.S. Treasury, and international financial institutions and investors. The IMF meetings are scheduled with Deputy Managing Director Bo Lee, Managing Director Jeroen Click, Deputy Managing Director Marnix van Rijk, Europe Director Alfred Kamer, Chief of Mission Nick Gigineishvili and representatives of the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department, and are expected to focus on the government’s fiscal consolidation efforts, economic growth and the impact of the crisis on public finances and the economy. World Bank discussions with Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani and World Bank Group Executive Director Eugene Rugenath are set to cover implementation of the country’s Partnership Framework and its use for priority development projects. Meetings are also planned with the U.S. Treasury Department’s OTA Office on public finance project activities aimed at strengthening institutions, improving resource management and reducing risks. The delegation includes National Bank Governor Trajko Slaveski and officials from the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank.
