Dubai International Financial Centre announced that CRDB Bank Plc has been licensed by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to operate a Representative Office in the centre, making it the first East African bank to establish a presence in DIFC. The Representative Office is positioned as a liaison base to promote CRDB Bank’s services and solutions and to support trade and investment flows between East and Central Africa and the United Arab Emirates and wider Gulf markets. DIFC highlighted its role as a gateway for banks expanding across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, while CRDB Bank appointed Jackson Kehengu as Principal Representative to lead the Dubai operations.
