The National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia reported that a preparatory meeting was held ahead of the “European Money Quiz 2026” national competition, organised by the Macedonian Banking Association in cooperation with the central bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia. Mentors and student teams from registered primary and secondary schools were briefed on the competition’s rules and format and provided with guidance and educational materials. The organisers highlighted record participation this year, with 1,276 students registered, including 1,144 in Macedonian-language instruction and 132 in Albanian-language instruction. Participation is supported by 127 teachers from 109 schools, and the 2026 edition marks the eighth time the national competition has been held. The national round is scheduled to take place during Global Money Week from 16 to 22 March 2026. The top two students will represent North Macedonia at the European final in Brussels, Belgium on 18 and 19 May 2026.
