The Bank of Italy will host a training event in Rome from 4 to 6 June on “Statistics – Data collection and management” as part of its international technical cooperation activities. The event forms part of a European System of Central Banks (ESCB) pilot project, funded by the European Commission, aimed at strengthening financial stability, resilience and governance and supporting an enhanced ESCB dialogue with Africa. Experts from the central banks of Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Tunisia will participate, alongside representatives from the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) and the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). The programme is also supported through collaboration with Banco de España and Národná banka Slovenska.
