The Treasury (Isle of Man) issued a notice publicising the removal of one individual from the UK Sanctions List for the Russia sanctions regime as it applies in the Isle of Man, meaning the person is no longer subject to an asset freeze or trust services sanctions. The removed entry is Tatiana Vladimirovna Evtushenkova (UK Sanctions List ref RUS1822), who had been designated on 11 April 2023 under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, which have effect in the Isle of Man via the Sanctions (Implementation of UK Sanctions) Regulations 2024 made under the Sanctions Act 2024. The notice also reiterates that the regime provides for financial, trade, aircraft, shipping and immigration sanctions. The Treasury restates expected controls for relevant institutions, including screening against the UK Sanctions List (including ownership and control), immediate asset-freezing and reporting frozen assets or suspected breaches to the Financial Intelligence Unit where a match is identified, and handling false positives and delistings in line with published guidance.
