The Guernsey Financial Services Commission published a sanctions notice advising that Guernsey’s Policy & Resources Committee has issued general licence GY/RUSSIA/2025/GL1 under the Russia sanctions regime as implemented in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The new licence replaces general licence GY/RUSSIA/2024/4, which was due to expire on 27 February and has been revoked. GY/RUSSIA/2025/GL1 was issued under regulation 64 of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, as implemented locally through the Sanctions (Implementation of UK Regimes) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Brexit) Regulations 2020, and is available via the States of Guernsey sanctions webpage.
