The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has opened a public consultation on a draft Board resolution that would amend certain National Bank regulatory legal acts to introduce a framework for a self-imposed ban on concluding a credit transaction. The draft is intended to align National Bank rules with recent legislative amendments in the Kyrgyz Republic covering the exchange of credit information and the establishment of a self-prohibition on entering into credit agreements. The proposal has been published on the National Bank’s website under draft regulations for discussion and on the national public consultation portal. Comments and proposals on the draft are due by 19 September 2025.
