The Montenegro Capital Market Authority held an award ceremony marking the completion of this year's workshops and competition built around the educational board game Kapital, a financial literacy project for primary school students now running for a fourth consecutive year. The initiative uses an interactive format to teach basic capital markets and personal finance concepts, with this year's top team coming from Niko Maras Primary School in Zeta. The competition ran from May 25 to June 2, 2026 and brought together 71 students from municipalities including Podgorica, Zeta, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Bijelo Polje, Kolasin, Pljevlja, Danilovgrad and Cetinje. Winning students received tablets, scientific encyclopedias and copies of the Kapital game, while their schools received cash donations to support further educational work and financial literacy activities. Through successive stages of the game, participants applied knowledge from earlier workshops and developed skills in financial decision-making, investment planning and risk assessment. The authority described Kapital as a teaching tool that introduces children to concepts including shares, investing, dividends, risk and company valuation, while giving them practical exposure to how capital markets work and to responsible money management.
