Chile’s Financial Market Commission (CMF) Board sanctioned Empresas IANSA S.A. directors Jade Moore and Philip Murnane, imposing fines of UF 7,200 each for breaching the duty to refrain from trading while in possession of inside information under Article 165(1) of Law No. 18,045 on the Securities Market. The CMF found that, between June 6 and July 27, 2023, they participated in ED&F Man Chile Holdings SpA’s acquisition of 70,902,465 Empresas IANSA S.A. shares and 2,069,377 Sociedad de Inversiones Campos Chilenos S.A. shares while holding inside information. The inside information related to a reserved fact reported by Empresas IANSA S.A. to the CMF concerning the start of a sale process for its pet food business.

The CMF determined they traded shares while possessing inside information about the sale process of Empresas IANSA S.A.'s pet food business.
