The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) released an updated spreadsheet cataloguing the descriptions and metadata for its Quarterly Bulletin time series, setting out time-series codes, definitions, frequency and units of measure. The KBP sheet includes SARB balance-sheet and operational series such as notes and coin in circulation, deposits (including required reserve balances and central government deposits), foreign loans, capital and reserves, and asset items including gold and other foreign reserves, advances and investments, and liquidity-providing facilities (including resale agreements and the South African Multiple Option Settlement facility). The file also covers Corporation for Public Deposits assets and liabilities and selected banking-institution deposit categories, with values generally expressed in ZAR millions and available at monthly and quarterly frequencies, including end-of-period and average-daily-value variants.
