The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Director Jéssica Bastos, participated in the Risk Management and Insurance in Debate Forum organised by the National Academy of Insurance and Pensions (ANSP) on 16 June, joining a panel on the impacts of Brazil’s new insurance legal framework on cargo shippers, transport operators and insurers. The panel discussed the legal, operational and strategic implications of Law No. 15.040/2024 (New Insurance Law), Law No. 14.599/2023 updating the legal framework for road cargo transport, and National Council of Private Insurance (CNSP) Resolution No. 472/2024 regulating cargo insurance, with a focus on how these measures affect the logistics chain and the management and transfer of risk through insurance.
