The order covers magliassicurazioni.it, benellicatanzaro.it and piottiservizi.it (including the “www” variants). Blocking by internet service providers operating in Italy is underway and may take a few days for technical reasons. IVASS noted that the total number of websites subject to a cessation order since it began using its blocking powers in November 2023 has reached 271. The orders are published in IVASS’s “Let’s defend ourselves from scams” section, alongside consumer guidance to verify that quotes and policies are linked to authorised insurers and intermediaries, including by checking IVASS lists and the Register of Insurance Intermediaries (RUI).

The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) has ordered the cessation of unauthorized insurance intermediation on three websites, blocked by Italian internet service providers. Since November 2023, IVASS has issued cessation orders for 271 websites.
