The Austrian Financial Market Authority has launched an Instagram channel, “Reden wir über Geld – powered by FMA”, expanding its consumer-facing communications on financial issues raised through consumer submissions and enquiries. The new channel builds on the FMA’s “Let’s talk about money” series, which has run for four years and addresses a consumer finance topic each month. The first Instagram topic covers instant loans, online consumer loans concluded in a few clicks, instalment-payment loans, and buy now pay later models, with the FMA positioning the move as a way to reach a younger audience. In the coming weeks, the FMA also plans to add a “Reden wir über Geld” podcast and a video-based format, developed in cooperation with Content Agentur Austria.
