India International Financial Services Centres Authority announced that all regulated entities operating in the International Financial Services Centre at GIFT City can now access the National Payments Corporation of India's e-KYC Setu platform. The change enables Aadhaar-based digital identity verification through a single-window onboarding interface. The platform allows firms to validate clients' Aadhaar information and supports digital onboarding without the need to physically store or process sensitive data such as Aadhaar card numbers. NPCI developed e-KYC Setu as a system for secure digital identity verification.
